The activity which was designed by partners from Portugal the Youth Group Novo Mundo, was tested in Manisa Social Sciences High School. According to the model designed by the Portugal group, we organized a clean-up activity. In order to protect biodiversity, voluntary students from different classes and age groups were brought together. Students cleaned a picnic area for two hours; then they had a picnic and played games. This way they both worked and relaxed together.
Organising a clean-up event helps to raise awareness about environmental issues and to develop social-emotional skills like responsibility, co-operation, sociability and energy.
