At Petar Leković Primary School, we tried to extend the impact of project activities to the youngest students too. The 2nd and 3rd grade students participated in testing activities designed by students and teachers from Turkey. We have selected activities that can be easily adapted to different ages. We concluded that it was very important to encourage students from the younger grades not only to think about their emotions, but also actions that could develop empathy, supporting social relationships. The teachers who participated in the implementation of these activities believe that if children are taught how to build a sense of belonging from the very beginning of school , fitting in problems will be much less common during the adolescent period.
