Therapeutic Groups, an IO2 activity designed by partners from the Portuguese Youth Group Novo Mundo, was tested in Manisa Social Sciences High School. The aim of the activity is contribute to the improvement and acquisition of personal and social skills of the children and young people in care. This type of activity promotes a supportive network in the group. Our school counselor organized Solution Focused Short Therapy Sessions at the School. Students who had social or economic difficulties participated in this activity. The sessions took place in a group format in a room properly prepared for this. They had a duration of one hour. Active and reflective methodologies were used, group dynamics and educational games were used, as well as an environment of reflection on the exercises in order to assimilate the contents.
