Loneliness Interviews Started

To find out what the adolescents in partner institutions think about loneliness, we started to do online interviews with them. In each partner country, the interviews are being carried out with 3 boys and 3 girls who volunteered to take part in the research. In the interviews, adolescents are consulted upon their observations of loneliness among their peer groups, 14-15-year-olds.

The interviews are being conducted by the organisation’s own psychologists or counsellors and last approximately one hour. Although the original plan was to have these interviews face-to-face, because of the pandemic they have to be carried out online. The interviews will be analysed by the academics from The University of Manchester and The University of Exeter. The data from their analysis will be used by the project team to develop teaching and learning materials.
